Installation was simple, and they sound nice and clean. They do not have big bass, but I wouldn't expect any 5.25" to have big bass! What they do have is clean. In all, a nice medium priced speaker. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful  Pioneer TS-G1343R 5.25-Inch 2-Way Speakers, By This review is from: Pioneer TS-G1343R 5.25-Inch 2-Way Speakers (Electronics) I thought i was only buying a cheap substitute for my broken 12-year old kickers (couldn't afford to buy new sets of kickers) for my system for my '02 Toyota 4Runner composed of a JBL 625W 4-channel amp that would drive these and a pair of 6 1/2 Pioneer TS-G1043R (which i also bought from amazon), a Kenwood 800W 2-channel amp to drive 2 Pioneer Champion Series 12' subs. I tell you....these are comparable with the top of the line speakers out there. Very balanced, very good mids and highs (i don't know about the bass because i turned it off from the jbl built-in crossover), does not distort on very high volume. But yet I was amazed at how bright they were, don't get me wrong these are bargain basement speaker at best, but paired with Bazooka's BT60ll series sub Bazooka BTA6100 BT Series 6-Inch 100-Watt Amplified Tube Subwoofer and Clarion Mobile Electronics CZ501 - CD/MP3/WMA/AAC Receiver with USB/Bluetooth I find it hard to leave my cab even after a long day on the road. I thought maybe I might need an additional pair of these 5.25 to complete my set up, but the single pair is all I need for amazing grown up sound. |
